I created a house and added two lights. One in the bedroom, which I called “bedroom”, and another in the living room, which I called “living room”.
I added Apple Shortcuts and there is no option for separate lights. Only the whole house appears. So, it turns both lights on and off, or however many I have. Is there any way to fix this?
One way I thought of was to create a house for each light. Then maybe two would appear. I haven’t tried it yet. But I wanted to keep just one house. Does anyone know?
Have you set it up in the Home app? Because that’s where they should appear and you can manage them all. You can also add some rooms directly to Control Center.
I hope that changes next year. Several smart home companies will join forces to create and adopt a standard, to make this communication between different brands more efficient. I hope that in 2022 they announce the standard and that some of the existing ones can be updated to support it.
