Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well?
I’m new here and, to be honest, I still don’t know much about computers.
I’m facing a problem and wanted to see if someone could lend me a hand.
Right now I’m using a dedicated video card (RX 550), but I want to use a second monitor. The issue is that this second monitor has a different input, so I bought an adapter — but it didn’t work. I noticed that on my motherboard, the MCR-A520M-DXV4, the ports are compatible with the second monitor, so I tried to connect through it, but the monitor isn’t detected.
While researching, I saw that it might be necessary to enable the processor’s integrated graphics so they work alongside the dedicated video card. My processor is a Ryzen 5 3400G, which has integrated graphics (Radeon Vega), so theoretically this should be possible.
The problem is that in the BIOS of my motherboard I couldn’t find any option to enable the integrated graphics. I browsed several tabs, searched, asked for help from Gemini, from ChatGPT… but nothing has solved it so far ![]()
If anyone has been through this or has any idea what I could try, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance
