What is the best 50-inch 4K smart TV under R$3k?

Hey guys, how’s it going? I’m new to the community, although I’ve been following TB for a good 5-7 years, so if this topic contains anything wrong, just let me know, ok?

So, I’m looking to buy a 50-inch 4K TV and the budget isn’t the biggest: R$3k. In the 2K range, TB recommends that Semp one, the SK8300. Is there anything worth putting a little more money into, considering I’ll be spending the next few years with it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

You’ll find Samsung’s 50" TU8000 for around R$2,300.00. I bought one two months ago and I’m quite satisfied with the picture quality and software offerings.

I liked that it has smaller bezels, but I found it curious that in the SK8300 review, it performed better in sound and picture than the TU8000

I always like to reference this topic where we had a good discussion and @higa stamped the TU8000 as the best all-rounder in this range when I was looking. I bought it (50 inches for 2100 on sale) and I’m super happy with it.

I also remember that somewhere it was mentioned that upgrading to the Q60T is only worth it if the price difference is around 15% or less between the two.

When possible, I use a JBL Extreme as my audio output for watching movies or playing video games (when I want immersion) to enhance the bass, but the TV’s sound for everyday use is more than enough.

At 50 inches, the Samsung Q70T is worth it if you can find it on sale (I looked around and only found it above R$ 3,500, but who knows in the coming weeks, right). Compared to a TU8000, you get a 120 Hz panel, stronger brightness, and HDMI 2.1 for the new generation of consoles.

If you can’t snag a Q70T under R$ 3,000, my personal recommendation is to save some money and stick with the TU8000 at R$ 2,200. The price-to-performance ratio is much more appealing.

Read, read, and read a little more. Thanks so much for everyone’s answers. I’m keeping an eye on the promos and I’m looking at the TU8000 in case I don’t find the Q70T for up to R$3k. I already found the first one for R$2100 (I found that price today) but I’ll wait until tomorrow to see if I don’t find something. Once again, thank you very much for the help, folks!

I’m also on the hunt.

My dilemma is between the Samsung Q70t, the LG 55nano86, or going crazy with the installment plan and getting an LG OLED CX.

My current one is a Philips FHD 43" — it’s already unbearable.

Dude, I just bought it right now at Americanas for R$1966! Use the coupon TV10 and pay with AME to get R$20 back + 4.5% cashback with Mélius

Thanks for the tip.

I ended up getting a Philips 55PUG6794 because of the Ambilight  (knowing that its system is slow). I hope I don’t regret it

It really is a cool feature that you’ll hardly find anywhere else (without spending a fortune to buy the Philips Hue system).
