What’s your take on the difference between Deezer and Spotify?
Personally, I prefer Deezer mainly because of Flow, which creates an endless playlist for you with a mix of different music styles based on your taste, while Spotify just generates those standard playlists that kind of stick to specific music genres, a bit too rigid.
I only use Deezer and don’t want to go back to Spotify and get stuck on fixed playlists. Flow is amazing.
I find Spotify more complete. I’m not a big fan of the apps, they’re quite heavy and all that, but the library is superior.
I get Deezer for free through TIM, so I left it activated on my mom’s smartphone and Echo Dot.
I use Deezer more because it comes with my TIM plan, so I got used to it, but I’ve used Spotify before and didn’t see much difference. Flow is cool, but once the algorithm “gets hooked” it only plays songs you already have in playlists or songs you’ve Faved…
I get that feeling too, I think Flow doesn’t like to „dare“ much with its song choices, but I still find it fun when you’re thinking about listening to a song and out of nowhere it plays next — it makes you laugh.
It wasn’t added to the list, but I use YouTube Music, which has the same feature. From what I understand, it’s a mix between songs I’ve liked or already listened to and new songs. I like it.
I use Spotify because it integrates better with everything and is very popular in the country. Deezer bothers me a bit with its playlists — they don’t seem well put together. However, I think Deezer’s sound quality is better than Spotify’s.
I’m using whatever promotion is going on. Right now I’ve got Tidal (6 months free) and Deezer (3 months for some amount of reais).
I’ve had Play Music, YouTube Premium, and Spotify (on the free trial when it first launched).
I’ve never let go of my mp3 collection that started back in the Napster days and from ripping rented CDs to mp3.
Now I’ve found a use for Tidal: generating setlists for the bands I play in. It makes it easier to stay organized and see the total runtime of the repertoire.
In the end, I doubt I’ll actually end up subscribing to any service once the trials are over.
I really like Deezer’s Flow, but the Spotify app works much better for me in terms of usability and playlist recommendations…
I’ve been trying out Amazon Music Unlimited, the catalog variety is good, sound quality too, but the app is truly terrible…
At the end of the day, it’s Spotify that I use on my phone and on Alexa…
I use Spotify. I used Deezer for a while—it took me some time to get used to it. In the end, I went back to Spotify for convenience. I also use Google Play Music; I have a good collection of MP3s that aren’t in the catalogs of the two services I mentioned before. Google Play Music lets you upload MP3s, and I sync them on my PC and my phone.
I prefer Spotify, it’s that reference streaming service where I find playlists and interactions. Whenever I try another one for testing or take advantage of a promotion, I end up going back to Spotify a few days later.
But I like Deezer, I prefer its design, the song lyrics, and most importantly: Flow.
Spotify’s Mixes are segmented by genre, and my taste varies, so it would be nice to have something that includes everything.
I feel the same way. I’ve used other services like Google Music and didn’t really like them. And when I wanted to share a playlist with my friends, everyone was using Spotify. So I never really gave Deezer much of a chance. 
Well… it’s relative, since I use both today…
Actually, I was more of a Spotify user than Deezer, but when money got tight, I decided to go with Deezer, which already came with my Tim Beta Mensal plan…
I wasn’t a big fan of Deezer at first, because it didn’t know my musical tastes and kept suggesting songs I didn’t like on the flow, so I’d stick with Spotify in that situation… But when I migrated my playlists, Deezer understood my taste, but that’s quite relative, unfortunately…
Because I prefer Spotify since you can create a playlist from a song (the so-called Radio feature), and also now because of the integration with Google Home (Deezer has integration, but it’s not available in Brazil…). I know Deezer was working on a feature similar to Radio, but I never got to test it properly… so I ended up just using the Flow itself, skipping songs I didn’t want to hear and whatnot…
The only thing I don’t like about Flow is that if you’re in need of a mood boost and use it, you might get any type of music that Deezer thinks suits you, whether it’s upbeat or not…
I find Spotify to be more complete — besides having a larger library, the apps for both smartphones and Mac and Windows offer a better user experience in my opinion. However, what falls short with Spotify and sometimes leads me to use Deezer, which I have for free through my Tim account, is the fact that it has song lyrics. Spotify used to have this feature, but they removed it from the platform a few years ago and it never came back.

I like the daily mixes, and I also think the library is really good.
In my case, Deezer was a big surprise. I only discovered it when I became a Beta user. Before that, I was always looking for a service that would meet my needs. I grew up listening almost exclusively to Japanese music, but none of the services I tried had a decent catalog of that kind of music — it was always a small collection of obscure artists. But then Deezer came along, and it has an excellent catalog of Japanese music. And when I can’t find the song I want, I can even upload an MP3 of the song to my account. To do that, I convert the songs I buy on iTunes and Google Play Music.
I’m also on team YouTube Music 
Spotify. It “understands” me better, its suggestions and results are much closer to what I like. Deezer often “insists” on popularity and not on my taste… maybe I set it up wrong… who knows.
Deezer already lets you listen to mixes based on a specific song or artist. It also has playlists similar to Daily Mixes, grouping similar tracks within your music style.
It’s not part of the poll, but I recently switched to YouTube Music Premium. I used to use Spotify, which is indeed excellent, but YM has the same features, has a vast library of videos, already knows my style a bit due to integration with the YouTube platform, and eliminates the increasingly frequent and annoying ads on videos.
