Which do you prefer? Spotify or Deezer?

Well, it’s good that it’s now available, because I remember when they launched it, it wasn’t available for the Desktop app yet, and I thought that was terrible…

I prefer Youtube Music..
The advantage is no more ads on Youtube, the library is probably the largest out there because it includes videos with just audio. The family plan doesn’t have the location hassle I’ve had with Spotify and there’s no issue with simultaneous playback. The web app is kind of bad and there’s no desktop app.

Spotify has been serving me well. I even feel like trying out other platforms, but the laziness of organizing the playlists and checking if they have the songs and artists I follow gets the better of me.

I’ve used Deezer before, but it’s been a long time and I didn’t like the interface. Nowadays I think the best services are Spotify and Tidal – the former has a good algorithm for suggestions and automatic playlists, plus you can control music from multiple devices. And the latter for its playback quality – the app also performs well; during the time I used it I never had any slowness or anything not working as it should, which does happen on Spotify.

I’ve tried Amazon Music, they’re improving a lot, but I saw some issues with curation, some artists having songs by others – it happens on Spotify too, but they fix it relatively quickly. On Amazon, I spent 3 months testing and they had only fixed part of the issue.

Spotify. Reasons: I’m a long-time user, so several playlists were already put together, and the song radios work really well.
I tested Deezer for a while, very similar, neither better nor worse.
A curious fact is that it doesn’t have Shazam integration on iOS… it could bring that back…

Most people I see end up using Deezer because it comes with the Tim plan, which is my case. I still think Spotify is superior in many aspects, including the fact that I’ve never had issues with it like I have with Deezer, where a song simply won’t play due to an error. Lately I’ve been testing Prime Music since it comes with the Prime package, but it’s much more limited in terms of catalog, although I find the app quite competent.

I prefer Spotify much more… I’m in love with the Daily Mixes, which bring me diversity, and also the No Repeat playlist that creates that infinite loop of what I listen to most and keeps them in my most-played forever lol!
Plus the music library is amazing, because the release of the songs I like most is pretty up-to-date.

I’m also on the team that uses whatever promotion is going on. I’m not that into music, so I end up listening to pretty much the same bands all the time, and I just go with whatever’s cheapest :stuck_out_tongue:

I was using Deezer through TIM and enjoying it.

I use Deezer because of Tim Beta and it has met my needs for listening to heavy metal and hip hop.

Spotify or Deezer? Spotify
Boom box radio or Deezer? Boom box radio
Listening to a gas-powered car go by or Deezer? Listening to a gas-powered car go by

Seriously, I tried really hard to use Deezer (because it’s free with Tim and also because they keep giving away free time) and I could never get used to how badly this service works for me, and I know this is an extremely personal opinion, so much so that for many friends who lack Spotify (it’s not available in their country), I recommend Deezer as a good substitute and many are avid paying users.

I prefer Deezer. I used it for about 3 years or more (right when it arrived in Brazil). Today I’m only on Spotify because I share the family plan with other people and the monthly fee ends up being cheaper, but for me Deezer is much better.

I use Deezer because it’s included in my mobile carrier plan, but I would prefer Spotify just for the year-end wrap-up. In terms of features, I think the two are pretty similar.

I’m using YT Music too, just having the music videos already won me over.
Like, so-and-so January 2020, super up-to-date, already gone, or other versions of the song — since YT is less bureaucratic, as soon as it’s updated it also goes to Music.
Anyway, I’m really enjoying it, and even preferring it, actually!

Spotify, because the amount of game OSTs on it is larger.

What keeps me tied to Deezer is that I’m still on Tim Beta. That’s one less subscription I have to worry about paying for, and that convenience is awesome. However, I grabbed a promo to subscribe to Tidal for a low price and I’m testing it out, but I’ve already come across an album where a track is missing (and it’s on Deezer). YT Music is cool based on what people have said here, but I found the app a bit annoying to use.

In short: I think Spotify’s library is better, Deezer’s convenience of not having to worry about paying, and Tidal’s interface is the one I’ve liked the most so far.

At the end of the day, I think what weighs the most is habit (using it for a good while) and the convenience or subscription price. So Deezer will stay with me as long as it’s included in Beta.

Deezer! Flow is great, its design has improved and it looks really good, and I also think the app is lighter. However, I use Spotify because I’m on a family plan that someone else subscribed to.

I’ve been using Spotify for a long time. I also subscribe so I don’t have to listen to ads. I used Deezer for a while, but I didn’t really get used to it.

I prefer Deezer because it’s included in the Tim Beta plan, hahaha.

I’ve been subscribing to Apple Music and it’s always worked really well. But recently I subscribed to YouTube Premium and it came with YouTube Music, which I’ve been enjoying quite a bit. I’m seriously considering the possibility of canceling Apple Music.

I found it a bit confusing because it throws everything I’ve liked into the list… Lately I’ve been trying out Amazon Music (it was on sale until the other day, 4 months for roughly $0.50 USD) and so far it’s okay.
