Recommendation: Work laptop (up to R$ 3,000) with priority given to support and warranty

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a new laptop and I’m asking for the community’s help.

1 - How much do you plan to spend? (cash or installments) Up to R$ 3,000. The payment method can be cash if there’s a good discount, or installments.

2 - Is there any brand you like (don’t like)? I don’t have a fixed preference, but I’ve been researching Dell, Lenovo, and Samsung models. I’m open to other brands if they have an excellent reputation for warranty and technical support in Brazil.

3 - What size? Preferably 14 inches (about 36 cm), as it’s a good balance between portability and comfortable use. However, I’m open to 15.6" models if the cost-benefit is better.

4 - Where do you want to buy from? Brazil.

5 - Can it be refurbished? Preferably new, sealed, for reliability and to have the full manufacturer warranty.

6 - What will you use the laptop for? Professional use. Mainly the Office suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, heavy internet browsing with many tabs open simultaneously for research and preparing talks. No games or heavy video/image editing.

7 - Will you leave the laptop at home or transport it frequently? It will be transported frequently between home and work.

8 - Battery, how many hours do you expect from the laptop? As long as possible within the budget. An autonomy of 5 to 6 hours for light/moderate use (browsing and typing) would be ideal.

9 - Do you have any problem buying on Mercado Livre or sites (Americanas, FastShop, etc) or does it have to be in a physical store? No problem buying online at large retailers (Americanas, Magazine Luiza, Fast Shop, etc.) or directly on the brand’s site. On Mercado Livre, I would only buy from official stores.

10 - What resolution? Full HD (1920x1080) is highly desirable for productivity.

11 - Do you care about the laptop’s appearance? Performance and reliability are more important, but a sober and professional design is welcome. Nothing flashy or with a “gamer” look.

12 - Do you need a reader? No, CD/DVD drive is not necessary.

13 - Hard drive or SSD size: Total priority for SSD. Minimum 512 GB. If there is option for 1 TB within the budget, that would be excellent.

14 - Do you care about the warranty/support quality the company offers? YES, THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN MY CHOICE. The laptop is my only work tool. I need a brand with a proven reputation for offering fast and efficient technical support in Brazil, with a warranty that resolves problems quickly. On-site warranty would be a huge differentiator.

Good morning!

Last month, I bought this notebook for my uncle:

Notebook Inspiron 3520 | Dell Brasil.._gsMQ..&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjeaK_ev-jQMVVhBECB02bCflEAAYASAAEgI6GvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&gbraid=0AAAAAD2GwMRIQzNXvCiN_SN3sJISPF75Q

For me, it was the best value for money I could find and, at least, meets all of his requirements.
